Tomás Vélez Cachupín : ウィキペディア英語版 | Tomás Vélez Cachupín
Tomás Vélez Cachupín was the colonial governor and judge of New Mexico between 1749 and 1754, and between 1762 and 1767. His courage and compassion in the war of San Diego Pond won him great respect among the Comanches, Utes and Apaches and, therefore, he could have peaceful relations with nomadic tribes in the province. He created practical solutions for keeping the peace between the Amerindians and the Spanish, so as a list of commodity prices that sold the Native Americans of the region with respect to the prices that had their equivalent products on the rest of the population of New Mexico. He also protected the right to the possession of lands of the New Mexico population, including the Amerindians, fining and imprisoning those who occupied the lands of other municipalities, under the idea that these lands were property only of their inhabitants. ==Governor==
